adidas Football

Before the 2019 NFL season started, the adidas US Football team came to us with a problem: people didn’t know that their star athletes were, in fact, adidas athletes. Which sucks because they have some great athletes on their roster, like Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers. We helped them to develop a campaign that celebrates their athletes and shows how deep the connection is between the athletes and the brand.

The result is these “in their head” animations — showing the athletes sans helmet (to show their faces), and including details that only a true fan will understand: an astronaut nods to Bradley Chubbs’ IG handle, a bottle of ketchup for Patrick Mahomes’s favorite condiment, or a Swiss army knife as a metaphor for Tarik Cohen’s multi-purpose ability on field.

These assets were created as part of a toolkit for the brand, created with multi-purpose use to post in anticipation of big match-ups or to celebrate big accomplishments.
